Driving Directions

The ‘Quick and Easy’ Driving Directions:

From Penticton, drive north towards Naramata for 10 min. and turn left at Evans to Lochore. We are located at 947 Lochore on the lake side of the road.

The ‘Very Detailed’ Driving Directions:

From the north:

If you are coming from Kelowna, the Trans Canada Highway, or Merritt take highway 97 south past Peachland and Summerland to Penticton. Just as you enter Penticton turn left at the first traffic light onto Westminster Avenue, just north of the Ramada Inn on your right. Then follow the directions below.

From the south:

If you are coming from the USA (Washington State) through Osoyoos, Oliver, and Okanagan Falls or from Vancouver on highway 3A, take highway 97 north past Lake Skaha and when you come into Penticton turn north just past the airport and the river channel so you stay on the highway 97 Penticton by-pass though Penticton. Turn right on Westminster Avenue, just past the Ramada Inn which you will pass on your left and head past Tim Horton’s (which will be on your left) toards downtown Penticton.

From Highway 97 and Westminster Avenue:

Once you are on Westminster Avenue heading east you simply drive right through Penticton. Westminster Avenue West changes into Front Street as you cross Main Street in downtown Penticton. Stay on Front Street and about 100 yards from Main Street you will come to a ‘roundabout’ (or ‘traffic circus’’ as they call them in Jolly Old Britain). Simply more or less keep driving in a straight line through the roundabout up the hill in front of you (it turns into Vancouver Ave. at the roundabout) on up Lower Bench Road. (Don’t turn onto the first street on your right that comes off the roundabout or go too far around to the exit for the South Okanagan Art Gallery or the Marina). Continue up the hill and follow Lower Bench Road as it swings to the left at the top of the hill. The name of the road changes several times as you drive, just stay on the main road. Here are the street name changes as you head towards Naramata:

Lower Bench Road turns into Tupper Ave., then Middle Bench Road North, then into Munson Ave., then into McMillan Ave., and then finally you will be on Naramata Road. Just follow the ‘main road’ and you’ll be fine!

You will pass the La Frenz Winery on the right, then you will see the Red Rooster Winery on your left at the corner of Naramata Road and Evans Avenue. Turn left onto Evans Avenue and drive 200 yards or so towards the lake. The road will turn to the right and it changes into Lochore Road.

The D’Angelo Estate Winery and Vineyard View B&B is on your left 100 yards down Lochore Road, number 947. The main family house has a red clay tile roof. Welcome to one of the most pelasant B&B’s anywhere!
